During the third international workshop on camera traps, artificial intelligence and ecology (https://inf-cv.uni-jena.de/camtrap-ws/), our colleagues David Schedl and Christoph Praschl had the opportunity to present the BAMBI research project and the methodology for using light fields with the help of drones. During his keynote at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena (Germany), David explained the basics and possible applications of Airborne Light Field Sampling. Christoph, on the other hand, guided the audience through the process of creating a corresponding dataset for detecting and counting wildlife in forests.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the organisers and our colleagues from business and research for the exciting presentations and discussions.
