An exciting event took place yesterday: the Long Night of Research. Our colleagues David Schedl and Christoph Praschl had the opportunity to present our research project BAMBI to a diverse audience at the Softwarepark Hagenberg. In this way, they were able to present our project and the underlying technology for monitoring wild animals for young and old.
During the presentation, sample videos from the last few months were shown, featuring recordings of deer and other wild animals. Visitors were also able to carry out data analyses with and without light fields at an interactive station. Our drones were also on display, demonstrating the versatility and possibilities of the technology both on the ground and in the air.
The event was a complete success, aroused lively interest and generated numerous exciting discussions. Christoph and David would like to thank all the visitors who showed such enthusiasm and curiosity.
