After two online events and the first hybrid event last year, the next edition of the workshop on “Camera Traps, AI and Ecology” will take place this year from 5 to 6 September 2024 at the Softwarepark Hagenberg at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria – organised by our project team around David Schedl and Christoph Praschl. The workshop aims to bring together three communities: ecological data producers (e.g. nature parks and nature reserves), scientific practitioners (e.g. ecologists and conservationists) and providers of AI analyses (e.g. computer scientists and engineers). The aim of the workshop is to promote exchange between these different communities, to link ecological data and AI methods and to initiate new interdisciplinary projects among the participants. Submissions are still possible until 28 June 2024.
